Introduction
The intent of the following license agreement is to give The Curators of the University of Missouri on behalf of Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) Library permission to post the material openly on the Web and to take the necessary steps to preserve the material (preserving the material might mean that the files will need to be converted to a different or newer version of a file format if the existing file format or the hardware/software needed to read it becomes obsolete).

Authors who submit their work to the Missouri S&T Research Repository known as Scholars Mine, retain the copyright to their work, unless they explicitly give it away to a third party. The Missouri S&T Library does not seek or claim copyright on any of the works submitted to Scholars' Mine.

A non-exclusive distribution license means that authors may make other copies of their work available on other web sites or through other means without obtaining permission from the Missouri S&T Library. They may also formally publish their work, in the same form or in a revised form, without obtaining permission from the Missouri S&T Library.

The Missouri S&T Library charges no fee for the service and collects no revenue from Scholars' Mine.

If you have questions, please contact Scholars’ Mine at scholarsmine@mst.edu.

By submitting this license, you (the author(s) or copyright owner) grant to The Curators of the University of Missouri, a public corporation, on behalf of the Missouri University of Science and Technology the non-exclusive right to reproduce, convert (as defined below), and/or distribute your submission (including the abstract) worldwide in print and electronic format and in any medium, including but not limited to audio or video.

You agree that Missouri S&T may, without changing the content, convert the submission to any medium or format for the purpose of preservation.

You also agree that the Missouri S&T Library may keep more than one copy of this submission for purposes of security, back-up and preservation. The Library will make a good faith effort to preserve and distribute this submission. In the event that the Library is unable to continue to maintain this submission as part of the institutional repository, the Library reserves the right to return the content to the submitting departments/units/individuals. If the entity is no longer in existence, or if the individual is untraceable, the Library will arrange to have the materials appraised and possibly archived as part of the university's digital archives.

You represent that the submission is your original work, and that you have the right to grant the rights contained in this license. You also represent that your submission does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe upon anyone's copyright.

You acknowledge that you are granting this license in consideration of the increased distribution that this will give to your work, and further acknowledge that this is adequate and sufficient consideration for this agreement.

If the submission contains material for which you do not hold copyright, you represent that you have obtained any necessary permission from the copyright owner to grant Missouri S&T the rights required by this license, and that such third-party owned material is clearly identified and acknowledged within the text or content of the submission.

IF THE SUBMISSION IS BASED UPON WORK THAT HAS BEEN SPONSORED OR SUPPORTED BY AN AGENCY OR ORGANIZATION OTHER THAN MISSOURI S&T, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE FULFILLED ANY RIGHT OF REVIEW OR OTHER OBLIGATIONS REQUIRED BY SUCH CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT.

Missouri S&T will clearly identify your name(s) as the author(s) or owner(s) of the submission, and will not make any alteration, other than as allowed by this license, to your submission.
